REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum ABET qualification or grade 10 qualification or equivalent
qualification. Knowledge: of a limited range of work procedures regarding
Work environment of mortuary services and elementary duties such as:
equipment, cleaning, health and safety measures, planning and organization.
Skills. Literacy. Basic numeracy, literacy, good
Communication skills, Problem solving skills. Ability to perform routine tasks

HOMEWORK:
Removal of corpses in the hospital. Collect death reports, post-mortem
and other attached documents of the rooms. Search bodies in the
death registry book. Make sure doctors fill out D28 forms,
Complete the SAP379 / 180 forms for unnatural deaths. Transport corpses to
Faculty of Medicine for post mortem. Help families see the bodies.

Help funeral directors remove bodies from refrigerators or storage rooms.
Clean mortuary trays and equipment with chemicals. Help FPS identify
and remove the corpses from the storage room. Assist the appointed Undertaker in
identify and remove bodies from refrigerators for the burial of the indigent. Check room
temperatures in cold storage regularly. Stick to the inside job
procedures and policies. Wear PPE at all times. Follow the instructions of the
supervisor.
