Columbus Stainless apprenticeships are open to request by all interested candidates. All interested applicants should submit their applications using the procedures below. Applicants must ensure that they meet all the requirements to improve their chances.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Columbus Stainless is the only producer of flat stainless steel products not only in South Africa, but throughout the African continent. The company was founded in 1966 and produces a range of products, from quality wristwatches to kitchen sinks.
Columbus Stainless produces 3 types / classes of stainless steel: ferritic, austenitic and duplex, each of which consists of several subclasses.
ABOUT LEARNING
Columbus Stainless apprenticeships take place over 2 years. Once students have completed the training program, they will receive a MERSETA Metals Manufacturing qualification (NQF Level 2).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

South African Citizen
Full matric
Achieved a minimum of 40% in Math or 60% in Math Literacy in Matric
Willing to become a process or equipment in the metal production environment.
Strong technical ability
Good eye-hand coordination
Motivated to learn new skills
Good work ethic
Energetic
Disciplined
Willing to work overtime and shifts
