Our client, within the logistics industry, seeks to appoint an experienced diesel mechanic to join their team based in Pietermaritzburg (Umlaas).
Tasks
• Fleet maintenance and maintenance. • Attend to breakdowns. • Standby (attend to calls) • Completion of job cards
Job requirements
• Grade 12 • Red seal Qualified Diesel mechanic with hydraulic experience • Driver’s license code 14 + valid PDP – Essential • Must have own reliable means of transport – Essential. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a workshop environment • Experience in electrical repair and troubleshooting. • High quality standards • High safety standards • Have good cleaning principles. • Must be available to work long shifts and hours including weekends. • Must be able to work in a pressurized environment. • Proactive towards preventive maintenance • IT competence
