Description of the scholarship
The FSCA will award a scholarship to a 12th grade student for actuarial science studies through the University of the Witwatersrand or the University of Pretoria, to facilitate student communication and guidance.
This scholarship is aimed at previously disadvantaged South African students with a South African ID who are unable to advance their career in the field of actuarial sciences during the period 2022 to 2025.
The final decision to award the scholarship will depend on grade 12 results and admission to an actuarial study program through the University of the Witwatersrand or the University of Pretoria.
The successful candidate will be required to sign a subsequent employment contract with the FSCA proportional to the number of years it has been funded by the FSCA.
The FSCA Actuarial Study Grant will cover the following:
Enrollment and enrollment fees;
Accommodation;
Foods;
Books / study material / stationery / internet time;
Laptop (single); and
Living expenses (monthly allowances for unforeseen expenses).
Experiential learning
The treasurer will be required to spend a minimum of 4 weeks per year at the FSCA during their vacation breaks for experiential learning.

Requirements:
Application letter (motivation letter);
12th grade mid-year results with a minimum of an A symbol in Mathematics.
