The Parent Center is a non-profit primary preventive organization that offers comprehensive parenting education and support services.
The Parent Center is seeking to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Social Worker based in Wynberg, Cape Town to help the Teen Parenting Program and the Parent Baby Home Visiting Program achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of the processes of selection, facilitation and evaluation of groups
Updating of the program’s monitoring and evaluation administration tools
Group monitoring and evaluation site visits
Home visit monitoring
Program statistics
Depression screening (once implemented)
General program administration
Required:
Social worker, registered with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP) with at least 2 years of related experience
A special interest, knowledge and experience in raising children and working with pregnant women, mothers and babies and adolescents.
Experience in implementing M&E processes
Experience in home visits in various communities.
Experience in group counseling and facilitation will be an asset.
Proficiency in English and isiXhosa (verbal and written) is a prerequisite. Conversational Afrikaans an added bonus.
Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Power Point
A valid driver’s license
Knowledge of the Law of minors
