Work description
The Management Accounting Intern is responsible for analysis and interpretation of business operations, the environment in which the company operates, and for reporting to manage key business insights and findings.
Responsibilities:
Includes but is not limited to:
Prepare trend analysis of monthly management accounts and other financial information.
Assist in modeling the profitability profile of Kia’s revenue streams.
He attended management inquiries seeking information on operating performance and the development of trends within the business.
Develop report writing skills to articulate findings and results of work done to management.
Develop an understanding of the microeconomic environment and its impact on Kia SA.
Develop the ability to organize and interpret raw data and develop meaningful knowledge.
Analysis of the costs of inputs of the organizations and comparison of the same with the competition and the industry standards.
Understand the organization’s value chain and the ability to gain insight into how broader business trends affect Kia.
Assist management in developing responses and action plans to address the items highlighted to management.
Learn about the history of Kia SA, the positioning in the local vehicle market and the brand’s aspirations.
Requirements:
Bachelor of BCom in Finance or equivalent.
Theoretical knowledge of the South African regulatory framework (income tax law, VAT law, company law).
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting packages)
