Supplier Quality Assurance Coordinator

Location: Pretoria
Salary: R50 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering / Quality Sciences
• Established decisive player of the team
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive sector
• Solid knowledge of quality management systems in production
• Process oriented with an exceptional customer relationship experience
• Languages: Proven oral and written communication skills with English
• Skilled at the computer
Key performance areas:
• Establish, implement and maintain receipt of inspection instructions, master samples, control plan and FMEA
• Make sure that inspections and measurements are conducted at the supplier according to the control plan, reports received and records kept
• Make sure that all parts / raw materials received are inspected, recorded and stored according to the control plan.
• Make sure the COC is received, validated and stored according to the control plan
• Organize inspections and measurements (to be paid by the supplier)
• Implement containment actions
• Implement containment actions at the supplier and monitor the effective closure
• Increase 8Ds for supplier related non-conformities, monitor progress and validate effective close
• Escalate plant-wide information for supplier non-conformities
• Update the plant supplier’s performance sheet / report, validate and consolidate the indicators
• Conduct the audit of the process
• Make sure that the new parts purchased from the supplier are actually transferred / introduced into the process
• Ensure the traceability of the parts maintained at all times
• Carry out process audits of suppliers, if and when required
• Manage receiving inspection personnel
• Ensure that defective / non-compliant supplier products are contained and returned to supplier / properly disposed of
• Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the 7 quality principles in the receiving areas
• Make sure that non-compliant parts from the supplier are deleted from the system (scanning process) and that scrap / rework records are forwarded to Logistics for claim purposes
• Forwards information about the region and the PG level
