Work description
The Human and Social Capacities unit seeks to employ data collectors / interviewers for the research study of the project that is being carried out on the Survey of Gender Violence and the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of this study is to estimate the prevalence of gender violence. The study will be carried out in all the provinces of South Africa.
The selected candidates will participate in the implementation of the survey by collecting data and interviewing the participants.

Job Specifications
Ensuring a welcoming environment for survey participants
Conduct participant interviews and ensure that survey participants complete the questionnaire according to protocol.
Quality assurance and completed questionnaires
Make sure all relevant forms are completed (hard copy and digital)
Ensure that information is stored and managed confidentially.
Assist the project manager with the successful execution of the survey and site reports.
Requirements
At least a 12th grade education (matrix),
A post-matrix degree in gender studies, social work counseling, psychology, sociology, anthropology, counseling, and related areas will be a recommendation.
Good interviewing skills.
You are comfortable asking sensitive questions about areas of interest for the study.
Good listener.
Good interpersonal skills.
Flexible hours and willing to work outside of normal office hours.
Experienced or exhibited in the NGO Sector.
Awareness and understanding of gender diversity.
Awareness and understanding of gender violence
Be willing to take a psychometric / proficiency test.
Previous experience working on a similar project or working on gender and GBV issues will be recommended.
