WATERSHED CUNSELTI5 Job Title Recruiter email Legal Secretary [email protected] Location Equity Houghton Salary Perm / Temp R15 000 – R20 000 Perm EE Introduction A dynamic rental finance company is looking for a legal secretary / paralegal with litigation experience to manage the legal recovery activities with defaulting clients and to support the legal campliance function of their business Responsibilities Handling legal tollections Frequentiy liaise and negotiate with clients regarding the settlement of arrears on accounts Daily management of arrears through regular follow-up and review Reconciling accounts and allocation of rental payments Attending and responding to debtors’ queries within a 24hr turnaround • Sending out statements and invoices to debtors Foilowing up on payments Handovers of legal clients to the in-house Attorney Ensuring that the legal process is carried out (ie summons, judgments etc.) within the timelines stipulated by the Company Arranging for the delivery and collection of legal / arrears related documents Confirming Sheriff jurisdiction by Defendants address • Drafting instructions to Sheriff and engaging with Sheriffs Arranging collection of Sheriff’s return Arranging settlement negotiations and / or payment arrangements with clients, to be confirmed by the in-house Attorney or the Managing Director of the Company Arranging payments of invoices of attorneys and advocates, sending proof of payments Managing diary Preparation of: a Letters of demand; a Dacuments relating to litigation or Write offs proposals; and a General stringent monthly reporting Requirements Commercial legal knowledge, with experience in litigation Experience with rental finance / finance industry is advantageous Be fluent in English, Afrikaans and / or Zulu Must have own transport Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word Tel. 011 791 095 Website: www.watershedconsulting co.za Fax: 086 659 3935 62 Catherine Road, Fontainebleau, 2194. / Suite 303, Private Box X11, Craighal Park 2024 Members: C Craggs, N Pillay Registration Number. 2000/009646/23 Axxociatinn af Persoon
